We'd like to take some of the guesswork out of finding your way to the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing. We have gathered the directions to Hyden from four cities located north, south, east and west, so if you find your way to one of these locations, we'll guide you "home"!  We have also provided you with directions to get to the school once you have taken the Hyden Spur Exit off of the Hall Rogers (formerly Daniel Boone) Parkway. From Lexington, KY (from Lexington Bluegrass Airport:) to Hyden, KY

Distance: 119.8 miles
Approximate Travel Time: 2 hours 46 min.

Choice:

1. Turn right out of the Airport onto Man O’ War Blvd. Follow Man O’ War 11 or 12 miles to I-75 South
2. Turn left out the Airport onto Man O’ War,
   • At first light take a right onto Versailles Rd.
   • Follow Versailles Road for app. 1½ miles to the first exit for New Circle Road-4 (this is the Lexington bypass).
   • Follow this around to Richmond Rd. Exit off Richmond Rd. to your right.
   • Follow out to I-75 South

Then:

1. Take the I-75 SOUTH ramp towards RICHMOND/KNOXVILLE.
2. Merge onto I-75 S.
3. I-75 S becomes I-75 S/US-25 S/US-421 S.
4. Stay straight to go onto I-75 S.
5. Take the KY-80 exit, exit number 41, towards LONDON/SOMERSET.
6. Keep LEFT at the fork in the ramp.
7. Merge.
8. Turn LEFT onto KY-80 E.
9. Go STRAIGHT.
10. Stay straight to go onto HAL ROGERS (formerly Daniel Boone) PKWY E and continue till you reach Exit 44, turn onto KY-118 and follow to the dead end at KY 80 & 421. Turn left.

From Knoxville, TN to Hyden, KY

1. Start out going Northwest on HENLEY ST/TN-33/TN-71 towards W CUMBERLAND AVE/US-11 S/TN-1 S by turning right.
2. Take the I-40 EAST ramp towards ASHEVILLE.
3. Keep LEFT at the fork in the ramp.
4. Keep LEFT at the fork in the ramp.
5. Merge onto I-275 N.
6. Take I-75 N towards LEXINGTON.
7. Merge onto I-75 N.
8. I-75 N becomes I-75 N/TN-9 N/US-25W N.
9. Stay straight to go onto I-75 N.
10. Take the KY-192 exit, exit number 38, towards LONDON.
11. Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp.

6. Take the ramp towards LOUISVILLE(I-65)/NASHVILLE.

10. Take the C PARKWAY TOLL ROAD exit, exit number 43, towards GLASGOW/SOMERSET.

13. Stay straight to go onto CUMBERLAND PKWY (Portions toll).

1. Start out going West on US-11E S/US-19 S/TN-34 W towards TN-34 by turning left.
2. Turn LEFT onto TN-34.
3. Turn LEFT onto US-11E N/US-19 N/TN-34 E.
4. US-11E N/US-19 N/TN-34 E becomes US-11E N/US-19 N.
5. US-11E N/US-19 N becomes VA-381 N.
6. VA-381 N becomes I-381 N.
7. Take the I-81 NORTH exit, exit number 1A, towards ROANOKE.

20. Turn LEFT onto KY-451.
21. Turn LEFT to take the HAL ROGERS (formerly Daniel Boone) PARKWAY WEST ramp.
22. Stay straight to go onto HAL ROGERS (formerly Daniel Boone) PKWY E and continue till you reach Exit 44, turn onto KY-118 and follow to the dead end at KY 80 & 421. Turn left.

To the Frontier School from Hyden Spur Exit

1. Get off at the Hyden Spur exit and continue on to the Junction of 421. 
2. Turn Left onto 421. Notice the BP Station on your left. The next street on the left is to the Mary Breckinridge Hospital Driveway.
3. Pass the Hospital driveway and continue through town until you get to the traffic light at the Courthouse and Primary Care Center. 
4. Turn left. 
5. Then turn left again at Hickory Street. You go up a winding hill. Please drive slowly. 
6. Turn right (sharp hair pin curve) at the Blue FSMFN sign and follow road to the School.
